Hello and welcome to Radiance the Podcast, a space where mysticism, embodiment, and modern wisdom meet. Hello, my name is Dr. Irene and I am your host.

so today I want to talk about sacred sexuality and the Seven Gates practice. This practice is one of my deepest teachings that I offer in my Womb Awakening program.

I want to start by giving you context on where this practice came from and how I came to evolve it and teach it in my groups and programs.

The Seven Gates Practice—I discovered it in Glastonbury. If you don’t know Glastonbury, it’s a power place in the UK. This place is incredible. I’ve been there four times, and I feel a deep connection to the land.

If you don’t know about ley lines—just like the body has energetic meridians (which we work with in acupuncture), the Earth has meridians too. These are called Ley Lines. One of these Ley Lines passes through Glastonbury, and in esoteric groups, it is well known that the heart chakra of the planet lives in Glastonbury—in the Tor, which is like a mount.

This place is filled with magic. Because the heart chakra is there, when you go, there’s a lot of energy around the unification of the feminine and the masculine, of sacred union, of opening our hearts and living from our hearts in an integrated way—within our inner masculine and inner feminine. There are also a lot of teachings there around couples and sacred sexuality.

There are these beautiful wells—the Red Spring and the White Spring—which are also power places where the Shakti flows, where there’s beautiful feminine energy that blesses the land. One is connected to the red Shakti, to the sexual goddess, and one to the white Shakti—the white mother, the most compassionate and loving mother.

This place is infused with this energy and magic. One time when I was there, I picked up a book called Sacred Union. At the time, I had just met my ex-partner—a beautiful Viking who became my sacred sexuality partner. In this book, there was a teaching about the Seven Gates. I started practicing the Seven Gates myself first, and then began bringing these practices into our bedroom.

You also have to understand that I’ve studied Tantra for many years, as well as shamanism. I have a deep understanding of the energetics in the body, and as a Chinese medicine practitioner, I work with meridians—energetic portals. So the teachings I now bring in the Seven Gates are a fusion of what I received from this book, integrated with everything I’ve learned on my spiritual path and embodied as a tantrika, a practitioner, and a shamanic guide.

This practice is incredible. When I started sharing it with my partner, we were able to enter states of consciousness that were magical, beautiful, profound. I realized this is such a potent map, and I began to share it.

So—what is sacred sexuality?

Sexual energy is our most potent healing and transformational energy. It’s creative energy. We all come from it—our parents had sex, and here we are. In Tantra, we say sexual energy is connected to Kundalini, our inner Shakti. This is the energy that moves through the spine and opens the chakras so we can become our highest self, evolve into our highest expression of divinity.

With that comes gifts—a feeling of ecstatic love, awe for the magic of reality and creation, deeper relationships, and even psychic abilities. If that’s something you’re interested in, these sacred sexuality practices can open up your psychic senses and your connection to a more magical reality.

Now, the gates. There are seven gates within our womb space. You can say they’re related to our chakras—we have seven main chakras. These gates exist within the womb, and each one holds energy, information, and consciousness. Each gate is like a mini chakra, a portal, a wheel.

When we begin to touch these places, we connect to the energy and consciousness held there. And if you’ve never done this kind of work, there’s a lot of information waiting—experiences we’ve had sexually, memories we may not have fully integrated. They’re there, waiting to be met.

When you begin this work, emotions may arise—grief, sadness, anger, rage. Many of us have experienced sexual trauma. If you haven’t had time to integrate it, the gates may open that experience—but it’s not about being retraumatized. That content is already in your body. The difference is now you’re approaching it with awareness, intent, curiosity. That’s when there’s a possibility for true release—where it can be dissolved into light and liberated from your system.

We’re not just working with the gates—we’re also working with the Merkaba, the chariot of light. It’s a vehicle that brings divine light—God, Source, true nature—to support the dissolution of old trauma and imprints.

Let me walk you through the gates—not in list form, just for you to understand the journey. This is a pilgrimage within your own body. It’s beautiful.

The first gate is the vulva, the yoni lips—the doorway, the entrance to the womb space. This gate is connected to Earth, and it requires safety. You must feel safe in order to open.

The second gate is the G-spot. This is tissue that is similar to the male prostate, and it secretes a similar fluid—without sperm. It’s connected to the water element. Female ejaculation can occur here, and when it does, it releases the sacred waters of the pelvis and cleanses the body.

The third gate is the clitoris—a fiery, sexual organ designed solely for pleasure. It’s the only organ whose sole purpose is pleasure. And that little visible tip? It’s just the beginning—there’s so much more hidden in your anatomy.

The fourth gate is the cervix—the gatekeeper between the outer world and the inner mysteries. It’s related to the heart chakra. It unifies earthly and spiritual experience.

The fifth gate is the entrance of the womb—where we begin to enter the dark void, the realm of creation. It’s where identity and ego begin to fall away. It can be scary—many of us fear the dark—but there’s beauty in it. It’s the realm of magic, mystery, the underworld.

Then we come to the conception point—the place within the womb where the divine feminine and masculine meet in sacred union. When this happens, a third energy arises, the heart opens fully, and a bliss state emerges.

And from that bliss, we enter the seventh gate—true nature, liberation, Buddha nature, divine essence, Ripa, the clear mind.

I do believe that this is such important work, because as we heal ourselves, we heal the collective. The theme of sexuality in this culture is something we must address. There’s so much perversion, so much corruption of sexual energy. And it is part of my mission to help women move from feeling shame to feeling that their sexual energy is something sacred—something to be honored, something to be enjoyed, to have fun with, and to be expressed in their most authentic way.

And remember—your womb remembers. If anything stirred while you were listening, place your hands on your womb. Give it love. Give your heart love. You have healing energy in your hands. Touch yourself with tenderness. Caress your breasts, your belly, your kidneys. Your kidneys are so important—nurture them to stay vital.

This is a ripple. We’re in this together. This is a movement—healing our sexual energy, together, and bringing that healing into the world.

If you have any insights, let me know. I love hearing from you. I always check the comments.

Sending you so much love and chao for now.
