Take a week off from your busy life and travel to Mexico with me, immersing yourself in a week-long holistic healing retreat like you have never experienced before. 

This retreat was created to offer a safe space for women to retreat & take time for themselves. To allow their body, mind and soul to replenish, heal, and play in the ocean waves. The intention of this retreat is to weave ancestral Mexican medicine practices & eco-therapy through the collaboration of local healers, surf instructors & the wisdom of Irene. This highly intentional holistic healing retreat has been crafted to cultivate transformation and shift your own awareness toward a new relationship with yourself through community, wellness & nature. 

The EXPERIENCE

Offerings will include a variety of transformational embodiment practices like: meditation, Chi Kung, breathwork, Astro Acupuncture, dance, sound healing, cacao ceremony, and surfing.  Exploring your inner Self through these practices will ignite the light within you, and build confidence in who you are. You will be able to surf through your internal landscape with ease & empowerment, and the goal is to be able to bring this new embodiment into your everyday life! 

Our environment, nature, and its elements are our most influential teachers, a connection point to ourselves and others. It can teach us simplicity, flow, how to work in harmony, and co-creation with everything that is alive.

Surfing is multidimensional; it demands a physical and emotional connection with the energy of the wave, the dynamics of the surf lineup, and the powerful ocean. You learn to manage and coexist with chaos, leaving you feeling empowered and able to manage other areas of your life. It is simultaneously a practice of play, bringing us back to our child-like nature.

This retreat offers the perfect blend of time in nature, moving fluidly, dancing, laughing,  or simply sitting still in silence.  Individually, these are powerful healing therapies - when combined, they are exponential.

There will be lots of free time for Self, including reading a book, walking on the beach, and healing therapies. This is your retreat, and I invite you to listen to what your intuition and wisdom are asking for. Many of us have lost that connection, and my wish is to reawaken it within you.

The LOCATION

​​Casa Tortuga, our healing sanctuary for the week, is a brand new luxury beachfront Villa on the shores of Playa la Saladita, steps away from world-class surfing.  The Villa includes two houses: The main house & The Casita. 

The Villa was designed so that every room has a view of the ocean and local surf break. Luxury linens, comfortable king-size beds, air conditioning, and hot water make this home unique to the area. The property also offers spacious outdoor living and dining areas under a huge palapa providing plenty of shade.  

The entire property is surrounded by soft green grass for us to do our morning movement practices & evening healing workshops. The fully equipped kitchen is designed so that we can prepare your meals while watching the waves break in front of the house or the sunset over the horizon. The large, lighted infinity pool is perfect for swimming or floating. The rooftop terrace provides a 360-degree view of the ocean and mountains.

Casa Tortuga's beautifully landscaped grounds, gentle ocean breezes, shaded lounging and dining areas, and many private spaces, provide the perfect place to escape and relax.

The Main House: has 3 large bedrooms, 2 upstairs and 1 downstairs, all with king-size beds, private baths, air conditioning, ceiling fans, and hot water. The living room has a private full bath and two sofas that can accommodate up to 2 additional guests (for extra per person fee). Upstairs bedrooms each have a private, shaded wrap-around terrace with comfortable seating. Each room has 2 sliding walls that open to full views of the ocean to let in the warm tropical breeze, allowing you to fully experience the natural beauty that Playa la Saladita has to offer.

The Casita: is a stand-alone unit that is equipped with a king-size bed, large sofa, private bath with indoor/outdoor shower, fully stocked kitchen, air conditioning, ceiling fans, and hot water. The floor to ceiling sliding doors and large windows provide incredible ocean views.

The retreat starts at 5pm on Monday, December 1st and ends at 10am on Sunday, December 8th. 

Casa Tortuga is situated 1 hour away from Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo International Airport (ZIH) with direct flights from 17 cities in North America. Connecting flights usually do a layover in Mexico City, from there the flight is 45 min to Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo Airport (ZIH). 

The best way to get to your retreat destination from the airport is by hiring a taxi which costs around $100 USD one way. Pre-hired private drivers for pick up are available by request.

Named one of the 25 most outstanding entrepreneurs in Mexico by Mexico Global for her work in promoting, preserving, and disseminating the gastronomic culture of Mexico, Colibri is a Chef & Gestalt therapist with 15+ years of experience cooking & researching the most important ingredients in the kitchen, getting involved with producers & chefs nationally and internationally to get to know the production & elaboration for food that heal body, mind & soul.

Through gastronomy, Colibri aims to bring all the participants of this retreat the greatness of the cultural and culinary diversity of Mexico. For her, this majestic diversity is what makes Mexican cuisine unique and one of the most important, delicious & varied in the world. During the retreat week, she will cook with her full heart, inspired by local, fresh and sustainable ingredients.

ADRIANA MARIA GONZÀLEZ VILLA

Adriana is an ordained Minister of Walking Prayer, Healer, Acupuncture Detox Specialist, and Yogini. She facilitates medicine ceremonies, yoga, sound healing, and offers acupuncture and healing sessions. Her ministry is inclusive, with a focus on indigenous wisdom traditions. Adriana worked with some of the most marginalized people in America~ undocumented citizens, the homeless, and incarcerated youth with disabilities. A career in social justice law was redirected by an acute episode of spiritual awakening- an initiation of Spirit. After leaving her career behind in Austin, Adriana began participating in sweat lodge and medicine ceremonies before going back to school to become a minister, yoga instructor, and healer. Years of intensive practice and calling for a vision brought in Radiant Heart Yoga & Ceremonial Arts.

As a bi-cultural woman of colour in America, Adriana decided that the best way to access and remember her lineage and traditions was to return to her ancestral homeland of Mexico. There, she found a home for Radiant Heart Yoga and developed it as a space for healing and transformative personal and collective work, set in a small and peaceful town on the southern Pacific coast of Mexico.

A little Mexican Artivist with a BIG PURPOSEFUL MISSION! Through photography, I embody and promote various elements such as loving awareness, co-creation with nature, intuitive flow, liberation, breath work, somatics, and emotional healing. I've witnessed the healing potential of art, and now, I use photography as my medium to spread this magic. Inspired by my own healing and empowerment journey, releasing guilt on society's unrealistic expectations, I've launched the Real Women art movement as a safe space to make noise, leveraging the power of unity.
