I am a Registered Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner and Acupuncturist in good standing with the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturist of British Columbia (CTMCA). I graduated from the International College of Traditional Chinese Medicine of Vancouver in 2010 and I have been practicing this amazing medicine since then. I had the fortune of traveling to Taiwan to complete a TCM internship in the China Medical Hospital of Taichung and also to Beijing, China to study Zhi Neng Chi Kung with Master Karl in 2012. I have also studied Taoism & chi kung with my teachers Dr. Carlos De Leon & Gretchen Andersen for the past decade.
My goal as a TCM practitioner & acupuncturist is to help people strengthen and balance their internal organs and body (Jing), to cultivate their vital force (Qi), and to ignite their heart & spirit (Shen) so that they can manifest the best version of themselves and in that way have a ripple effect of health, wellness, light and love onto their friends, family, community and planet. My practice has been mainly focused in women's health, fertility enhancement, energy and emotional balancing, but I also love working with active people that are dealing with injuries to help them rehabilitate and get back to do what they love doing.
In my practice of Traditional Chinese Medicine I use a variety of therapeutic tools, like:
Chinese herbal medicine
moxibustion or moxa
Tui Na or Chinese therapeutic massage

I have been seeing Irene for acupuncture for the last year and have seen positive results. She truly listens to my needs. She has helped me with various health concerns, and has helped me with pain management due to a repetitive strain injury. I always leave our sessions with a feeling of peace and calm. She is a skilled and talented practitioner, with her prior experience as a doctor in Mexico adding to her broad health and wellness knowledge. She comes highly recommended!
